Ana Siqueira.png

Ana Siqueira is a film curator, translator and researcher. She has served as a curator and program coordinator for FestCurtasBH - Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival (2013-14 and since 2017), member of the 2022 and 2023 short film selection committee at IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam). She was a film programmer at Cine Humberto Mauro film theater (2008-2009) and was part of the selection team for Brazilian film festivals and showcases, including forumdoc.bh and Mostra Tiradentes. She holds a MA in Social Communication/Pragmatics of the Image from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).

Ivonne Sheen's projects have been developed as experimental audiovisual, photographic and sound works, publications, texts, curatorial work and the management of cultural initiatives. From a personal and critical voice, she explores questions and reinterpretations about her surroundings, structures, archive images, her family history and the hegemonic learning we assimilate. She is interested in self-management and the collective creation of spaces and experiences. She currently lives between Cologne, Germany, and Lima, Peru.

Mónica Delgado is a film critic, curator, and social communicator from Peru. She is a professor at the School of Social Communication at the National University of San Marcos. With a specialization in Cultural Studies, she has earned a master's degree in Literature and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Art History at the same university. She holds the position of director at the Desistfilm magazine. In 2020, she published the book “María Wiesse en Amauta: Los orígenes de la crítica de cine en el Perú” (Maria Wiesse in Amauta: The Origins of Film Criticism in Peru). She has conducted workshops and delivered lectures on film criticism and experimental cinema.

Fabio Filho works as a curator, editor, researcher, and film critic. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Communication at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), where he also earned his Master's degree. Originally from Bahia, he graduated from Universidade Federal do Recôncavo Bahiano (UFRB). He is currently a curator at Cinema do Dragão (Fortaleza/CE), where he is responsible for the selection of films to be exhibited  . He has directed the films Tudo que é apertado rasga (2019) and Não vim no mundo para ser pedra (2022). He is a member of the Poéticas da Experiência group and has been part of the selection committees for national festivals, showcases, and workshops. Additionally, he is involved in film clubs and designs movie posters.

Gabriel Araújo is a journalist, film programmer and film critic with a degree in Social Communication and additional training in Cinema from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is a co-founder and one of the coordinators of INDETERMINAÇÕES, a platform focused on film criticism and Black Brazilian cinema, and of Cineclube Mocambo, an initiative for screening films and fostering discussions related to Brazilian, African and diasporic Black cinema. He is a reporter and freelance editor for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, and is part of the Zanza collective for film criticism as well as the Lena Santos collective, a group of Black journalists from Minas Gerais.

Natalie Matos is a filmmaker who, driven by the need to create transmedia productions that are inclusive and representative, has dedicated herself to experimentation in the audiovisual and visual arts; her work often explores themes from her daily life, such as youth, creative economy, identity, gender, periphery, among others. She engages with these themes through documentaries, illustrations and youth training processes. She is one of the founders of the production company RENCA - Produções e Interações Culturais, formed  by three Black women.

Patrícia Bizzotto.jpg

Patrícia Bizzotto holds a bachelor's degree (UFMG) and a master's degree in philosophy (UFOP). She is a composer and sound performer, as well as a multidisciplinary artist, creating soundtracks for theatre, dance and cinema. As an artist-in-residence and curator  of the “Quartas de Improviso”, project based in Belo Horizonte/MG, she is also the author and co-author of various multimodal plays and concerts, including “Fogo/Fôlego” (Patrícia Bizzotto + Cerco Coreográfico), released by Tsss Tapes label in 2021.

Rita Vênus is a visual arts and cinema curator. Her work explores the oracular elements of images depicting daytime, nighttime and maps. She served as a curator for the Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife Festival in 2022 , and, since 2021, has been an assistant curator at the Oficina Francisco Brennand. Rita also served as a jury member for the 8th Tomie Ohtake Institute Arts Award in 2022, and has been a member of the Brazilian selection committee for FestCurtasBH - Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival since 2021. She reads the Tarot on Saturdays.

Daniel Ribeiro Duarte.png

Daniel Ribeiro Duarte is a researcher, curator and filmmaker. He is a member of the Filmes de Quintal collective. He holds a PhD in Cinema from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Diego Silva Souza is a journalist (UFMG), researcher, film critic and curator. He is currently a master's student in the Postgraduate Programme in Social Communication at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. As a film critic, he has made special contributions to Zagaia, Cine Humberto Mauro and Cine Festivais, and is a member of the Zanza Collective. Diego has also been involved in curating showcases and festivals such as CineCipó, Curtametralha, Cinema de Brinquedo, among others. He has participated in the Talent Press Rio 2021 and served on the Youth Jury at the Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes.

Lorenna Rocha is a historian (Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, UFPE), film critic and cinema programmer. Co-founder of the platform INDETERMINAÇÕES, she is also editor-in-chief of the câmarescura magazine. Currently pursuing a master's degree in the  PPGCom-UFPE, she teaches courses on film criticism, curatorship and/or [Black] Brazilian cinema. Lorenna has worked as a curator for  FestCurtas BH (2021; 2022), Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife (2022) and Goiânia Mostra Curtas (2023). In 2023, she participated in Berlinale Talents (Germany) and was involved in the curation of the “Memórias Pretas em Movimento” project.

Luiz Fernando Coutinho holds a bachelor's and a Master's degree in Image and Sound from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). Currently he is a PhD candidate the Post-Graduation Program in Social Communication at the Universidade Federal de  Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is the editor of Madonna Magazine, a translator for the cinema blog “Vestido sem Costura” and editor of LIMITE - Revista de ensaios e críticas de arte, a magazine featuring essays and art criticism . He has also conducted independent courses on topics such as classical Hollywood melodrama, John Carpenter and Jacques Tourneur.

Mariana Mól has a degree in journalism and a PhD and master's in Arts from UFMG, with research focusing on Latin American cinema. She is the author of the book Filmes de estrada e América Latina: caminhos de uma estética e narrativa próprias (Editora UFMG, 2022) and the editor of the e-book Cruzamento de rotas audiovisuais (Selo PPGCOM, 2022). Mariana works as a film researcher and producer. Member of the State Council for Cultural Policy in Minas Gerais in the Audiovisual and New Media Segment (2021-2023).

Vanessa Santos holds a PhD in Communication and conducts research on narratives in digital and interactive media. She has worked with socio-technical networks and social projects, teaching training processes and developing methodologies for audiovisual education. As a university professor, she has  coordinated the Cinema and Audiovisual course at UNA Centro Universitário. She was a curator of the Black Film Week in BH. Since 2019, she has been a member of the International Competitive selection committee at FestCurtas BH. Currently, she is a manager at Cine Santa Tereza movie theater.
