Call for Entries for the 23rd edition of Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival are now open. This year, submissions may be sent either on our official website or ShortFilmDepot’s online platform.


If you have one or more shorts with up to 45 minutes in length, completed between 2020 and 2021, you are more than welcome to submit your work for the careful consideration by the Festival's programming team. For more information and the Festival's schedule, you may read the rules and regulations already available on our website.

The 23rd FestCurtasBH is organised by the Government of Minas Gerais, through the State Department of Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais and by the Fundação Clóvis Salgado; e co-organised by APPA - Arte e Cultura. It is Sponsored by Cemig, Anglogold Ashanti and Unimed-BH / Instituto Unimed-BH¹, through the Federal and State Laws of Incentive to Culture; Gold Sponsorship by Codemge - Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais; Bronze Sponsorship by MGS - Minas Gerais Administração e Serviços, through the Municipal Law of Incentive to Culture of Belo Horizonte; and cultural support from the French Embassy and the Alliance Française in Belo Horizonte.

Fundação Clóvis Salgado is a member of the Circuito Liberdade, a cultural complex managed by the Minas Gerais State Secretariat for Culture and Tourism (Secult) that brings together several spaces with the most varied forms of art and cultural expression in transversality with tourism. Working in a network, the activities of the circuit's partner equipment seek human, cultural, tourist, social and economic development, with a focus on the creative economy as a mechanism for generating employment and income, in addition to democratizing and expanding the population's access to the proposed activities.
