WANING TIDES CHANGING
TRAVA MINGUANTE, TRAVA CRESCENTE
by nica buri
One stormy night, I had cramps. I cried a lot in the last days and my belly started to feel heavy. I recapitulated what was on top of her. I remembered my mother, all the boys I loved, all the wounds and surgeries I've had to go through. I dreamed of snakes and bulls. That rainy night I wrote a text as a transmutation desire. I generated this text and mixed it with everything good and rotten that I had in my belly. I gave birth when spring came.

DEEP DOWN TIDAL
by Tabita Rezaire
Deep Down Tidal excavates the power of water as a conductive interface for communication. From submarine cables to sunken cities, drowned bodies, hidden histories of navigations and sacred signal transmissions, the ocean is home to a complex set of communication networks. As modern information and communication technologies become omnipresent in our industrialized realities, we urgently need to understand the cultural, political and environmental forces that have shaped them.

Sonic Fictions is a sound imagination of the radio play: To End God's Judgement, by Antonin Artaud, immersed in the notion of non-place of diasporic experiences. Triggered by the term developed by the writer Kodwo Eshun, the work brings together the musicians Barulhista, Maurício Badé and Thelmo Cristovam in different musical tracks, in dialog with the voice of Passô. “It's making the future vibrate in this old text that always had the future in it. It is an evocation of words resistant to the automation of sensibility. It's a meeting between aliens.”
