BÜYÜK İSTANBUL DEPRESYONU
THE GREAT ISTANBUL DEPRESSION
by Zeynep Dilan Süren
Didem and Ayse face the common tortuous struggle of a youth entering adulthood. Inside the apartment, among ruined buildings and skyscrapers, spending time in bed watching TV series, observing the new neighbor, or attending unsuccessful job interviews demarcates an unmotivated routine. The haunting of a collapsed Istanbul, with no way out, runs through their dreams and their mental state. But it is still possible to imagine different days.

舍利
SARIRA
by Li Mingyang
Sarira has the most peculiar formal characteristics. The film manages to be, at the same time, an example of “ decoupage film with spectacular cinematography for festivals” and, in a conscious gesture of its director, opposition to its own model by being a comedy of mise en scène. About a monk who cannot pray because he suffers from an overwhelming... toothache.

LET'S BE CAREFUL OUT THERE
by Alberto Gracia
In a world of increasingly industrialized forms, and, not by chance, of increasingly standardized audiovisual productions, it is always good when a work confronts us with the "strange" in the sense of what disturbs or bothers us, or what is refused to be deciphered completely. Let's be careful out there is one of those movies; half marginal cinema, half film noir, its images seem to come from the unconscious of a dark time, made of machines and violent drives of destruction.
