TEREZA JOSÉFA DE JESUS

-

by Samuel Costa

The fire sets a beat along with words elaborating on the loss of her mother, Tereza. Juliana Jesus' writings-experiences are tied to the work of writing images and sounds, tacking together flashes. In a game of learning and transmission, the speeches of mother and daughter intertwine, as a gesture of passage, combat and demand for another pact with health (of oneself and of the world). Link to each other: "While you look too much at fear, you lose sight of your courage."

A ÚLTIMA VALSA

THE LAST WALTZ

by André Srur

André Srur's short presents moments of the experience of mourning the death of the family matriarch. With breath-taking performances, the film invests both in the cracks and noises of the relationship between two brothers and a sister – exposing unresolved issues and grudges that are latent even in the face of death – and in the love that united the couple. A subtle love story that offers us one last dance.
