A SENTENÇA
THE SENTENCE
by Laura Coggiola
In a meticulous game of narrative and visual experimentation based on photographs, The Sentence builds an enigmatic atmosphere intertwining dream and reality, proximity and distance, narration and silences. Between a support and a narrative element, the work with the photos is articulated with a soundtrack that moves the images and accentuates the mystery that brings the two characters together. The delicacy in the alternations – of states, plans and themes – infects us with the feeling that hovers unresolved.

FRONTEIRA
BORDER
by Maíra Campos
Provoking the frame's geometry by dancing with the edges, making the framing dance or even taking the frontier as something that approximates: here are some features of the short film directed by Maíra Campos. Performed with the Ballet Jovem Minas Gerais, here, it is created a dance that takes place in the film, through the image, making the cinema art of the body. In Frontier, both dancers dance and the editing work are part of the choreography: angles, fusions, details and variations composing a dense web of movements.

UM TRANSE DE DEZ MILÉSIMOS DE SEGUNDOS
A TEN MILLISECOND TRANCE
by Jamile Cazumbá
The relationship with the visible becomes a matter of tact – contact. Trance images are textures of time. It is in the expansion of seeing that a dense experience with memory and the body takes place; in the dilation, the detail: hearing the rooster, the ant. The voices of Inês Mendes and Jamile Cazumbá make the crossing. With this performance-recital-ritual, we realize how much, in creation, the question is to compose with the world, of the gesture that is made with the wind, sheltering one's surroundings.

BEEHIVE
by Maurício Chades
Fresh out of a prison situation, Huri founds the film and rises in a meditation on humanity while the lake's waters flow. Between the interviewer who knows little and the interviewee who is a kind of enigma looking at us, Beehive sometimes singles out a context of compulsory incarceration of women in the country, sometimes it is the full game in which the real and the fictional intertwine vertiginously. Little by little, the listening scene becomes a formal invention – and vice versa.
